Six Wild Crowns By Holly Race was summarized to me as all of Henry the 8th’s wives alive at the same time, in a fantasy world of dragons, and with a slow burn sapphic romance. Let me tell you I didn’t even make it to the sapphic romance.

There is a content warning about the patriarchy and misogynistic views in the book but it was too much for me. You open on Boleyn marrying Henry and Seymour being given to her as a to her from Queen Aragon. And Henry is a polygamist with all of the wives. I understand the misogyny was there to most likely have the wives rise up and take their power back from Henry, but it was too harsh for me that I couldn’t even make it that far.
